At Rated, I led the complete redesign of Rated Explorer, the company's flagship product for analyzing validator performance across blockchain networks. My focus was on improving data visualization, navigation patterns, and overall user experience for staking operators and infrastructure providers.

Rated Explorer is a Web3 node operator analytics tool that helps people see how their
infrastructure investments are performing over time.
Home Hub - One challenge was giving visibility to the new networks the product supported, so we experimented with a hub page for all networks. This helped clarify which networks were most appealing to users. Data ultimately showed that users leaned toward Ethereum and Solana networks, so we removed the hub page.
Pools listing - A common request was the ability to filter by pool size, so we added a filter to the pools listing page.
Distribution - Using hover states, we created a more engaging and interactive experience with progressive disclosure of more detailed information.
Pool Detail - The use of tags next to the pool name helps users quickly identify the pool's performance and category more easily.
The search experience
Initially, this was considered too big a hurdle to tackle on the backend because validators and node operators are constantly changing. I developed a GitHub Action that refreshes the list of validators and node operators on the frontend, making it easy for users to find the exact page with their validator stats.
Search experience - Either from quick access with CMD + K for macOS or CTRL + K for Windows, users can search for a validator or node operator by name, address, or other relevant keywords.
